One more thing for today

I'd like to try and include a recipe at least once a week.  It might be a "quick and easy ADD family recipe" OR it might be an "I'm in the mood to hyper focus and so am going to make something complicated" recipe.  Here's what I made last night.  It was a big hit, hearty and EASY.

Tortellini Sausage Soup - serves 5 or 6 people, so great for my family of four + lunch the next day

4 C water
A big spoonful (i.e., to taste) Better than Bullion Beef Base
1 lb Italian Sausage
1 box frozen  spinach (you could use fresh if you like)
1 can Italian-style diced tomatoes
1 bag frozen tortellini

Heat the water in a large pot and add the beef base (you could use chicken or beef broth cubes here also).  While the water is heating, brown the sausage in a skillet.  Once the water is boiling, add the spinach and tomatoes.  When it's boiling again and the spinach is thawed, add the tortellini and cook until the tortellini is done.  Add the browned sausage  and serve.  Yummy with french bread and some grated parmesan cheese.

Whoa! Here I am...

I've been kicking around the idea of blogging for awhile now.  Just like everything else in my life, I've suddenly and impulsively decided to jump in and hope that I float!

A little about me:  I'm a 50-something (ok, 51) ADD Mom to three kids (all with ADD), wife (to a husband with ADD) who likes to quilt, craft (I'm a dabbler-big surprise), read, cook, eat and laugh.  I hope that when and if I accumulate any readers, that they will be laughing along with me!  Oh, and I also like exclamation points!!!

I'm figuring on being all alone here for awhile-so here I am talking about myself TO myself!  Very strange indeed.

I'm going to stop here for now.
